Rotheblog hits 20,000+ visitors!
I wasn’t sure if Rotheblog.com – Arcade game blog would ever reach 20,000 visitors. As I monitored traffic in June I thought that it might be possible by the end of the year, but I didn’t figure Rotheblog.com would double it’s traffic only two months later. (more…)
Spheres of Chaos – Better than Asteroids?
Spheres of Chaos is my newest gaming addition. Not played Spheres yet? Do you like Asteroids? Well, it has some of the same ideas. I won’t guarantee you will like Spheres just because you liked the classic Asteroids, but this game is a ton of fun with layers of difficulty, enemies and power ups when combined with a little luck can make for an intense half hour or more of entertainment for just one game.
New Resource – List of Willis Control Panel Overlay Artwork with Photos
When I was visiting Chris Moore over the weekend on my trip to pick up my Universal Mr. Do! in Chicago I was messaged by another collector who posted on RGVAC looking for a photo of a Willis Galaga overlay. Another collector has listed a bunch of parts and artwork on ebay, and he was wanting to check on the condition of the Willis overlay vs. another original.
I got to thinking about how ironic that was. Here I was, sitting at the one collector’s house that I know of that actually has a phenomenal collection of Willis artwork, and someone messages me looking for a comprehensive list of all of the artwork every produced. So, I snapped off some images and complied my own photo gallery list of Willis reproduction control panel overlays. (more…)

Rotheblog hits 10,000 visitors!
Just a short, exciting note tonight. According to Google Analytics, Rotheblog has hit 10,000 unique visitors over the past month! I was looking to hit this first benchmark around the end of May 2008, but I exceeded my own projections. (more…)
Arcade Game Keychains Update
The classic arcade keychains are ready to roll. Brian Jones finished up a couple of his first samples, Dig Dug and Zookeeper and the detail is phenomenal. I was really amazed at how well the keychains represent the actual cabinets and the fine detail Brian was able to achieve. (more…)
