Tutorial – Change your coin door to accept tokens
You’ve got your gameroom full of your favorite games, but you’ve decided that you want to change those games over from accepting quarters to accepting tokens. Collecting videos at the arcade forum is easy
One a day, and here is my spotlit feature tonight in my Ning based arcade game forum – YouTube and other arcade related videos can be collected in one easy repository. Granted, YouTube is pretty easy to use, but there are a ton of videos and there isn’t an arcade game section as far as I know. (Tags don’t count).
At the Arcade Game Collecting Community you can paste the embed code from YouTube or upload original videos to the site and those videos are then easy to find later with the search tool. (more…)
Photos of Rare Pac-man Bootleg – Mazeman?
A cool surprise this morning. Posted in my Arcade Game Collecting Community forum, some photos of a Pac-man ripoff by ‘Entertainment Industries’ called Maze man. I could only find a couple mentions of the game online and no images. I won’t be able to share the photos from that thread, but I do have some photos that were shared with me from another collector.
Using Ning Tutorial – Import an RSS Feed
Continuing to spotlight value added reasons of my new arcade social network, the Arcade Game Collectors Community, tonight a short look into importing an RSS feed into your profile. Say you already have a blog, arcade related or not. You don’t want to write your content on Ning but instead continue to maintain your website. No problem, just pull your website RSS feed into Ning. It’s a great way to promote your website and at the same time it will seem like you actively update your profile without having to do anything! (more…)
Rare Atari Red Baron Prototype Changes Hands
It’s not news that there were a couple of Red Baron prototypes that were made before Atari settled on converting old Battlezones for their primary run of this vector game. However, doing a general search turns up little information on the Red Baron prototype beyond the fact that there have been about three spotted at one time or another.
One of those just changed hands earlier this month, into the welcoming arms of Francis Mariani at Ataricade. (more…)

Lawnmowerman Pac-man website online
For those collectors who recognize the name, Rotheblog.com is now hosting the Pac-man information that was at the Lawnmowerman website that disappeared a couple of months back. For those of you visitors that just stumbled onto this post and don’t recognize that website, know that so much information you might need to troubleshoot, fix and restore your Pac-man was compiled on this website. It was so important to save this site from disappearing forever, and fortunately we have that opportunity. (more…)
