Today’s New Dark Knight Joker Image
I am late to the game, but I have gotten so much interest through my website about The Dark Knight, that I thought I would keep the viral media pipeline flowing.
Here is the cover of Wizard magazine, a tongue in cheek comic book price guide, news, and review vehicle.
I am not crazy about this image of Heath Ledger as the Joker, it wasn’t the best shot for Wizard Magazine to use. Joker looks a little constipated.
~ Edit 12/10/07 I knew it was only a matter of time before we saw this photo of the Joker without the trade dress. The full body photo showing all of the Joker is much better in my opinion, much more maniacal.

As I wrote in the post, that I thought this was the weakest Joker image from the Dark Knight we’d seen so far. But if you look at the full image, I think it puts the Joker’s character much more in context.
I agree 🙂 I based my opinion on the full image. I´ve come to realize that what makes the picture so good is the way he´s holding his right hand. It´s just a detail, but it really makes the difference for me. It feels good that most people aren´t referring to Ledger as “the gay Joker” anymore. He did a great job in Brokeback Mountain, shame people can´t see the difference between top class acting and real life!
All I can say is WOW!
I say The Dark Knight at my IMAX in Indianapolis on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. The theater was packed.
The movie was so rich with layers of characters development, core human emotion / motivations and a story that envelopes you such that you are left in a clouded sweat wondering where 2.5 hours went.
The Dark Knight is an intelligent, scary, and breathtaking movie that I hope is the best fiscal movie of the summer.
Oh yeah, and Heath, no one will ever top his Joker! Only Mark Hamill’s laugh that defined the Joker can come close. Jack Nicolson seems like someone’s musty old grandpa in comparison.

I think this is the best shot of the Joker so far. His hair is marvellous. He looks like he´s about to get really, really pissed off at any moment!
